
Focusing on the theme "Managing Risks – Meeting Expectations", interested speakers are invited to submit proposals on commercial and technical issues relating to Asia’s energy pipeline industry. This year’s theme recognises the challenges in managing pipeline risks at the commercial, construction and operational levels at the same time meeting the expectations of an ever increasing number of stakeholders, including the community at large. Abstracts submitted to the Conference Committee should meet the following criteria:
* Papers should be of interest to a broad audience within the pipeline industry.
* All papers are to be written and presented in English.
• Papers should not focus on a particular product brand or be advertorial in nature.
In keeping with the theme of APCE 08, abstracts are invited on:
• Case studies in managing economic, technical and operationalrisks
• Experiences in the development of major regionalpipelines
• Managing risks at the project development stage
• New technology and materials
• Pipeline integrity and asset management
• Experiences with pipeline operations and lessons learned
Abstracts must be submitted to AGC no later than Friday 13 June 2008 and include
• Completed form on the back of this brochure
• An abstract of up to 250 words
• Biographical data on all proposed authors
All papers accepted will receive one complimentary delegate registration. Additional presenters of a single paper will be required to register in full. Please note that the Conference organisers will not pay travel and accommodation expenses for delegates whose papers have been accepted.
It is a condition that all speakers accepted through the Call for Papers provide an electronic version of the written paper for publication.
