It gives us great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 4th Asian Pipeline Conference and Exhibition (APCE 08), building on an annual event which is now attracting more than 300 pipeline professionals.
The Conference is being organized jointly by the ASEAN Council on Petroleum Gas Centre (AGC) and the Malaysian Gas Association (MGA) as a long term commitment to the development of a world class industry driven pipeline event in the ASEAN region.
At the time of writing crude oil has surged to an all time record price. The apparently insatiable demand for oil, and the flow on effect in natural gas markets, is placing great demands on existing pipeline infrastructure around the world. It is also driving the development of new, often technically challenging pipeline projects in deep water and ever more difficult operating environments.
APCE 08 represents an outstanding opportunity for the pipeline community in this region to compare experiences, discuss pipeline operational issues and share new development concepts. As was the case with APCE 07, proceeds from this year’s event will be invested in the development of young pipeline professionals in the form of an overseas Study Tour.
